If you do want new then so be it, but there are still ways you can avoid paying top whack for the dress of your dreams. Searching online you can find stores that offer new gowns but at discounted prices, with a little research you could save yourself as much as 40% to 80% off retail specialist shop prices.

Despite benefiting from savings such as this many of these stores still offer gowns by top name designers. A lot of the gowns are one-offs, so the chances of someone you know having the same dress is very unlikely. Stores such as these buy from a network of retailers and designers and get the best deals which allow them to give you savings of up to 80% off the retail price of the dress.

Another great way to make savings on your wedding gown is by purchasing a discontinued gown. A gown such as this will be new but are gowns that are no longer being made, although this is not to say they are out of style. You can purchase a designer gown with as much as 65% off the retail price by shopping at a discount wedding store, which can give you huge savings. However to take advantage of these savings many of the discount stores such as this only offer gowns online, and are not available to purchase in store.

Many times you can buy a “look-a-like” designer wedding gown, if you have seen a designer gown in a specialist shop but the price is out of your reach then look online for something very similar. A lot of the big name clothing stores also have sections of wedding gowns and the largest of these have their own designer labels, which can look very similar in style to some from the top name designers.
